Should I notify the IRS if I change my address? |

|
YES! If you have moved you should to notify the IRS, so any tax refunds due to you or any other IRS communications will reach you in a timely manner. You may call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to change your address over the phone or send them a completed Form 8822. If you are one of our clients, please complete a "Change of Address Form" to update our records by clicking here. NOTE: A licensing agreement exists between the IRS and the United States Postal Service. The agreement permits the IRS to use the Postal Service's "National Change of Address" (NCOA) database to update addresses in the IRS's Master file. Your new address will now automatically be updated if you file a change of address form with the United States Postal Service. Click here to notify the U.S.P.S. of your address change. |
